Our principal research aim is to improve the health/illness experience of patients and their carers whilst building capacity and capability of nursing, midwifery and allied health professional researchers. We have five inter-linked but focussed research programmes:

Researchers

  • Understanding Patient and Family Experiences

The Department additionally hosts the national Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professions Research Unit, the Cancer Care Research Centre and the Alliance for Self-Care Research.

The Department is now delighted to announce that it hosts the Scottish node of the Cochrane Nursing Care Network.

Further information can be found within our new Research and Consultancy Leaflet and on these web pages and we would be happy to discuss our work with you.
