Applying for Nurse Education - Starting Out

We welcome applications for our pre-registration programmes from potential nurses who want to embark on a challenging but rewarding career in nursing. Our three year programme will prepare you to care for people and provide nursing support for patients and their families in a variety of health and social care settings.  Our course will help you to develop a wide range of nursing skills which will lead to professional registration as a nurse.  You will have the option to study to Diploma or BSc Degree in Nursing.

At the University of Stirling you can study the following branches of nursing:

  • Adult Branch Nursing
  • Learning Disability Nursing
  • Mental Health Nursing

You can choose to study for your nursing programme at one of our three campus sites.

  • Western Isles Campus
  • Highland Campus
  • Stirling Campus
